Rev. Dr. Aleese Moore-Orbih

Rev. Dr. Aleese Moore-Orbih is a distinguished advocate/activist leader in the field of gender-based violence intervention and prevention, who embodies the principles of self-love, beloved-community and transformation.

Her multifaceted approach, informed by her extensive experience and understanding of historical Black social justice work, women’s rights, faith-based movements and Kimberley Crenshaw’s intersectionality, positions her as a key advocate for creating transformative change in the lives of individuals and communities alike.  Her pastoral leadership is reflective of her commitment to care, support, and transformational change, reinforcing her role as a vital advocate for individuals and communities affected by violence and oppression. Her multifaceted approach not only aims to intervene but cultivates resilient and empowered communities capable of sustaining long-term change.

With all of Dr. Aleese’s work her deepest passions is expressed here in the Black Women Talking Back Podcast.  Using her gifts, talents, experience, connections, and resources to bring Black women’s voices and work to the forefront and center of our global society’s social justice discourse.

What can BWTB Podcast create, birth and/or inspire?

  • Archive the legacies of Black women’s being and work around the world to make it a better place. and for the posterity of all people.
